The only album released in 1963 is miraculously reissued! From the moment you drop the needle on the first track, you will be captivated. There are not many albums like this one. Paula Greer, a Chicago native, was discovered by Motown writer Mickey Stevenson and released her debut album in 1963. Her rich voice, which has been described as "like Sarah Vaughan's," and her beautifully expressive voice captivate audiences. The album is a miracle album with no throw-away songs, and is full of highlights, such as M-4, which has an irresistible swing feel, and M-6, a euphoric song that was covered by the Beatles in the same year. The highlight of the album is a superb cover of M-2, a rare masterpiece, but the best is "Blissful Hour," which is followed by two transparent songs, M-9 and M-10, a cover of Ellington's "Blissful Hour. This is a wonderful album that should be appreciated not only within the framework of a conventional jazz album, but also by lovers of Sabbabia and pop vocals.
