LA-based electroacoustic music composer/performer Sarah Davachi collaborates with Montreal-based experimental music string quartet Quatuor Bozzini to release a full-length work! On November 3, Sarah Davachi, an electroacoustic musician who has held a residency at MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) in New York, will release Long Gradus, a full-length work in collaboration with Quatuor Bozzini, an experimental music string quartet based in Montreal. Late Music, a label under the WARP umbrella, will release the full-length work, "Long Gradus," on November 3.In addition to the string ensemble version recorded at Warehouse Studio in Vancouver on the CD/2LP, this release includes four arrangements (woodwinds, brass and organ, chorus and electronics), three of which were recorded in Berlin and Los Angeles only on the 4CD The "Gradus" is a Latin piece, and the "Gradus" is a Latin piece. Gradus" means "process" or "progress" in Latin, and "Long Gradus" is designed to focus on moment-to-moment relationships by significantly slowing down the cognitive movements of the listener and performer.An experimental work that aims to immerse the listener in a psychoacoustic space and tranquility of time through the experience of a rich harmonic landscape that is constantly shifting and changing with each passing moment. *Electroacoustic music: Music in which the three elements of music (melody, harmony, and rhythm) are almost non-existent and the sound materials that make up the music are diverse.The legendary Senegalese band that fused mando, Afro-jazz & funk at the end of the 70's is back in a big way!
