From the "Adrenalize Tour" in 1993, when the band's popularity was at its peak, a live performance of their hit songs in their hometown of Sheffield in front of 50,000 people! From April 1992 to September 1993, the Adrenalize Tour, the longest in the band's history, was held at Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield, England, the band's hometown, to an audience of over 50,000 people. After the huge success of "Hysteria" (1987), the band started to work on a new album, but Steve Clarke (g) died of alcoholism. After auditions, Vivian Campbell, formerly of Dio and Whitesnake, joined the band and completed "Adrenalize" (1992), which was not as big a hit as the previous album, but was still a huge hit worldwide. Since Def Leppard's popularity in the U.S. had preceded them, this was the time when their popularity in their home country, the U.K., was at its peak, and the show was broadcast on BBC Radio 1, and a shortened version was broadcast on television on a Yorkshire station and in Japan.And in June 1993, after this show, the band traveled to Japan and played seven shows there. The setlist is almost the same, except for the acoustic part, which means that the performance is familiar to Japanese listeners. The performance was recorded in its entirety, but the broadcast cut Phil Collin and Vivian Campbell's guitar solos and a few other songs from it, and the recording here follows that broadcast. This is the first live performance of "Two Step Behind," a song that was just before it was released as part of the soundtrack to the movie "Last Action Hero. The rest of the show was filled with hit songs, making it a perfect "greatest hits" show.
