Adam Fischer and the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra launch Mahler project Adam Fischer has been the Principal Conductor of the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra since the 2015/2016 season. With his new hand in the orchestra, Adam Fischer has launched a project to record the complete Mahler symphonies. The first project is a live recording of his inaugural concert as Chief Conductor of the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra in November 2015. The concert featured Haydn's Symphony No. 88, Adam Fischer's specialty repertoire, in the first half, and Mahler's Symphony No. 7, "Night Song," in the second half. Adam Fischer's enthusiasm for the Mahler project was evident in the fact that he chose to perform Mahler's Symphony No. 7 in his first season with the orchestra and in the first recording of the project. It consists of five movements, with the second and fourth movements being "Night Songs. The fourth movement effectively uses the guitar and mandolin, which shows Mahler's innovative spirit. Adam Fischer's tempo is generally fast, but his playing is careful and propulsive, giving a clear path to Mahler's intentions.Especially in the last movement, the orchestra's characteristics are beautifully portrayed emotionally. The audience can look forward to hearing a fuller performance of the series in the future. The Dusseldorf Symphony Orchestra is an orchestra with its roots in the City Music Society, founded in 1818, and is a prestigious German orchestra of which Mendelssohn and Schumann were once the general music directors.
