Description:
Formed in 1985 around guitarist Joe Chinnici, PIPEDREAMS made their mark on the hard rock scene of Long Island, New York, adopting the title of their first original song, “PIPEDREAMS,” as their band name. Two years after forming, the band overcame challenges such as lineup changes and began work on their debut album. Through countless rehearsals, innumerable live performances, and the continuous creation of "new songs," PIPEDREAMS solidified their status as a band aiming for the very top. In 1988, they released their self-titled debut album. Featuring a late-80s American melodic hard rock/AOR-leaning sound, the album was well-received by fans for its catchy choruses with clear harmonies, AOR-style vocal melodies, and radio-friendly, compact song structures; however, the band eventually disbanded without a formal announcement. Now, for the first time on CD, FNA has reissued the album in its complete form, adding as bonus tracks live recordings of the first two songs performed at the release party held on the night the album was released in 1988.
