A 10th-anniversary reissue of the two EPs released by Melbourne, Australia-based rock band AmylandTheSniffers! Ten years ago, in a shared house on Chapel Street, four 20-year-olds with no expectations wrote and recorded an EP in a single afternoon. That intense six minutes of music became *GiddyUp*. Just one hour later, they settled on the band name AmylandTheSniffers, uploaded it to Bandcamp, and a legend was beginning to take shape. Over the next year, through backyard gigs, performances for friends, and parties in Melbourne’s eclectic and vibrant music scene, the band released their iconic second EP, *BigAttraction*, in 2017. And now, to commemorate a decade of raw energy and reckless spirit, “GiddyUp/BigAttraction” is being revived as a definitive 10th-anniversary CD and 12-inch vinyl release. It has been fully remastered to maximize the sound pressure. In addition to early classics like “I’m Not A Loser” and “Stole My Pushbike,” it features live staples such as “Balaclava Lover Boogie” and “Westgate.” This release captures the essence of Amyland The Sniffers before the world caught up with them—wild, humorous, and unstoppable. Amy reflects: “We wrote and recorded it that afternoon… we hadn’t even played together until that day. But it was spontaneous and fun, and what we managed to pull off in that time sounded good enough to us—we weren’t perfectionists, and we didn’t care.” From DIY gigs in Melbourne to stages around the world—it all started here.
