This is a collection of works featuring a bassoon and string quartet, an unusual arrangement. The entire work has the character of a concerto for bassoon and strings. The most prominent composer on this disc, Marc-Anthony Tanej, is a composer who does not hide the influence of modern jazz, and even considers Miles Davis to be the greatest musician of the 20th century. Although "Massarosa" is a beautiful piece of music, the bassoon part is sometimes influenced by Miles. Bassoonist Peter Kolkay is a young soloist whose repertoire consists mainly of contemporary American music. Tobu Shoji Co.
