She is truly one of the most iconic female artists in the history of music, and was selected for the 2018 GRAMMY Awards' Lifetime Achievement Award Recipients.STUMBLE INTO GRACE", Emmylou Harris' second album with Nonesuch, was released on September 23, 2003. This year, Nonesuch is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of "Stumble into Grace" by releasing the album in a limited-edition cream-colored analog edition, which beautifully echoes the color of the cover artwork. This is the first time that STUMBLE INTO GRACE has been released in analog format, and follows RED DIRT GIRL, Nonesuch's first album with the label, and the second consecutive album to feature original songs by Linda Ronstadt, Kate & The album features original songs by Linda Ronstadt, Kate & Anna McGarrigle, Gillian Welch, Jane Siberry, Buddy Miller, and Daniel Lanois, and was produced by Malcolm Byrne, who also produced the previous album.Like her previous album and 1995's WRECKING BALL (engineered and mixed by Byrne), with STUMBLE INTO GRACE, Emmylou Harris is operating in a soundscape far removed from the traditional sound she released in the 1970s and 1980s Her sophisticated songwriting adds an extra dimension to her musicality, and Newsweek praised her for "adding a new depth to her wonderful voice when she combines it with personal songs like this one. Guests on this album are female musicians who are her musical comrades. With Linda Ronstadt, she performs "Strong Hand," dedicated to June Carter Cash, the legendary country singer and wife of Johnny Cash, who died in May 2003, and with Kate & Anna McGarrigle, she sings "Little Bird" and the famous chanson "Plaisir d'Amour" with Kate & Anna McGarrigle.The album also features plenty of songs worth listening to, including "I Will Dream" and "Lost Unto This World," which feature the vocals of Jane Siberry.
