This year, Decca is releasing a set of the original CD and a DVD of the complete concert, which includes interviews with the artists and behind-the-scenes footage. Their second concert in Los Angeles in 1994 remained the most-watched music event in television history, and the album was a huge success. But the magic number for the trio is still "3," and on the evening of July 10, 1998, the third concert in Paris on the eve of the World Cup, with the Eiffel Tower in the background, the three tenors, along with conductor James Levine and the Orchestre de Paris, performed to an audience of 100,000 people and nearly 2 billion people. The three tenors sang in front of an audience of 100,000 people and close to 2 billion television viewers.Producer Tibor Rudas describes this concert as a gift to the city of Paris."
