Highly transparent singing. The Norwegian Soloist Choir records a collection of Bach motets! The Oslo-based Norwegian Soloist Choir was founded in 1950 by composer Knut Newstedt. Since 1990, Grete Pödeschen has served as artistic director of the choir, mirroring her own personality, Since 1990, Grete Pödeschen has been the artistic director of the New Stet and has continued to take the ensemble to new heights in the "art" it has set out to pursue, reflecting her personality. Refraction (BIS SA 1970), in which he sings songs by Vallen, Messiaen, Webern, and Berg; White Night (BIS SA 1871), an impression of Norwegian folk music with fiddle player Jermun Larsen; the Christmas albums Rose (BIS SA 2029) and The Light of My Life (BIS SA 2184).In this highly anticipated seventh disc, the choir has recorded a collection of Bach motets! The choir's appealing and extremely clear voice echoes in the Riis Church in Oslo. The string orchestra Ensemble Alegria, which performs with the Norwegian Soloist Choir, was founded in 2007 by students of the Norwegian National Academy of Music. Maria Angelika Carlsen (1988-), who studied at the National Academy of Music in Oslo and the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen and has been concertmaster of the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra since August 2011, is the leader and artistic director.
