French composer Laurent Lefrançois, who studied at the Ecole Normale de Musique under Stéphane Delplas and Guillaume Conneson, received the Audience Prize at the 2006 Boulogne Young Composers Competition and the Claude Allieu Prize from SACEM in 2016. He is an up-and-coming composer who has been acclaimed by the French classical music magazine Diapason for his works for many renowned artists, including "Padouk Fantastiques for Marimba and Clarinet" (commissioned work for Ria Ida and Paul Meyer).
