Italian pianist Stefano Battagliano celebrates this river and other places known in myth and legend in this work, which he recorded with his trio using original new compositions without any self-conscious modernity. I have tried to write music and dance without being influenced by the sophistication of modern musical language. I tried very hard to shape the music as I imagined it might have been played on primitive instruments thousands of years ago." He says.
