'In A Space Outta Sound' is a work that reflects both the "origin" and the "present" in the career of George Evelyn, aka Nightmares on Wax. The original album, released in 2005, was crafted as an homage to the reggae culture he embraced growing up in West Yorkshire. This foundational experience is further explored in the mixtape 'Echo45 Sound System', released at the end of 2025.What runs through both works is George Evelyn's unparalleled skill and sensibility: taking Jamaican-derived sounds as his foundation, he effortlessly fuses soul, jazz, and hip-hop, transforming samples into instantly memorable hooks.
