Robohands is a rising star in the London jazz scene who plays not only his main instrument, the drums, but also guitar, bass, piano, and synth all by himself. His debut album *Green*, released in 2018 and consistently selling out immediately with every vinyl pressing, is now getting a welcome reissue on clear green vinyl! The opening title track, “Green” (A1), infuses jazz with a serene atmosphere reminiscent of ambient and post-rock, creating a smooth, soothing vibe, while the following track, “Lost” (A2), showcases technical drumming with a delicate and soft touch. Furthermore, “Dream” (A3) exquisitely blends groovy drumming with R&B and hip-hop influences and ethereal vocal harmonies, while “Hermit” (A5) resonates with the sounds of the U.S. West Coast, such as Thundercat, and “Lament” (B3), which features a saxophone and bridges jazz, soul, and R&B—all of these tracks masterfully crossover to create a sound that’s very much in the present!
