This is the second installment of the "DUO-series" project by Rei Takagi, who made a splash in 2015 with her duo work with master composer Sadanori Nakamure. Hosaku's partner is the piano prodigy Shihiro Ito. The theme of this album is ballads, and in addition to famous jazz ballads, it includes songs related to love, such as John Coltrane's "Naima", which he sent to his wife, and Gilbert O'Sullivan's "Clair".
