STAM1NA is one of the leading thrash metal bands in Finland, a heavy metal powerhouse, and their formation dates back to 1996. After releasing a number of demos and EPs, the band signed with Sakara Records, organized by Tuomo, the guitarist of Mokoma, and made their debut in 2005 with an album bearing the band's name. Their second album "Uudet Kymmenen Kaskya" was released in 2006 and reached No. 3 on the Finnish charts. The following album, "Raja" in 2008, was the first to reach No. 1 on the charts. They continued to release albums at a high pace for the next one to two years, and became a regular on the top of the national charts. They have visited Japan three times so far, and their fan base is steadily expanding here in Japan. STAM1NA will release a new album, "X," their tenth in two years.
