The concept of the TOWER RECO original "MIRAGE" label is "to bring jazz into everyday life," a series of compilations with themes that allow many people to enjoy listening to jazz music. DISC 1 and 2 feature piano, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, vibraphone, and jazz violin, while DISC 3 is a romantic compilation of standard jazz tunes with the word "LOVE" in the title, performed and sung by many jazz artists, DISC 3 and 4 are vocal versions of the same songs. For example, the instrumental version of the famous standard "Love for Sale" is performed by Cannonball Adderley on alto saxophone, while the vocal version is sung by Anita O'Day. The album also includes numbers that are only available in the instrumental version or only in the vocal version, enriching the content of the songs.The musicians include American legends such as Miles Davis, Art Pepper, Clifford Brown, Sonny Rollins, and Bill Evans, as well as French jazz legends such as Stephane Grappelli and Bernard Pheifet, while vocalists range from Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Julie London, Helen Merrill, and Nina Simone to connoisseurs Claire Austin, Helen Carr, and R&B's Marvin Gaye.
