The OLC, led by Hidemi Suzuki, presents two famous arias from *Cosi Fan Tutte*, featuring a solo performance by the highly acclaimed soprano Saki Nakae, along with Haydn’s Symphony No. 10 and Symphony No. 100, “The Military”! Recorded live at the 43rd Regular Concert of the Orchestra Libera Classica (OLC), this album features the overture and two arias sung by the lead character, Fiordiligi, from Mozart’s opera *Cosi fan tutte*, Haydn’s Symphony No. 10 and the famous Symphony No. 100, “The Military”! The role of Fiordiligi was performed by Saki Nakae, one of the most promising sopranos currently gaining attention. Mozart is Nakae’s specialty. At the 37th OLC Regular Concert in June 2016, she sang two of Mozart’s concert arias—which require extraordinary technical skill—and garnered attention for her overwhelming vocal performance; the album (ADJ-057) recording that live performance has received rave reviews, including being selected as a “Special Selection” by *Record Geijutsu* magazine. Hidemi Suzuki places immense trust in Nakae, who delivers a magnificent performance with her rich vocal volume and expressive power. The booklet includes a bilingual translation of the lyrics by Saki Nakae. The second half features Haydn’s Symphony No. 10 and Symphony No. 100, “The Military,” a staple of the “Haydn Set”! Symphony No. 10 is performed with the standard string instrumentation of the era: 3-3-1-1-1. The “Military” Symphony features an instrumentation that includes percussion instruments—such as the triangle, cymbals, and bass drum—which were traditionally used by military bands.
