A self-cover project marking the 25th anniversary of their debut. The album features "Madly," reimagined with a ska arrangement by the rocksteady band FRISCO, and "Before Dawn," a rocksteady track produced in collaboration with Toshiya Mori, the multi-instrumentalist and head of EchoUnited, and master guitarist Isao Tsukamoto. A self-cover project commemorating the 25th anniversary of their debut. Side A, “Madly,” is a self-cover that reimagines a track from the 2008 album *What’s Jazz? STYLE* with a ska arrangement. Through a collaboration with the rocksteady band FRISCO—active since 1998—the result is a sound that pays homage to roots music while being updated with a contemporary sensibility. The soft tones of the pedal steel guitar and high-quality reverb accentuate the sweet yet poignant melody and lyrics, resulting in a track that feels both authentic and fresh. Side B, “Before Dawn,” is a new self-cover of a song originally included on the 2003 album that has long been beloved by fans. It has been reimagined through a session featuring Toshiya Mori, the founder of [EchoUnited] and a multi-instrumentalist; Isao Tsukamoto, a guitarist known for his work with the Netanders and the Piranians; and akiko. The resonance of the organ, layered vocals, and soulful guitar blend together, quietly unfolding a rocksteady sound imbued with a mature atmosphere.
