Waon Records presents a new high-resolution audio disc. This release features the complete original master of *The Era of 61 Keys*, which was honored as a “Special Selection” by *Record Arts* magazine. You’ll be able to fully enjoy the warm sound and timbres that seem to breathe with every note. This is effectively the first solo album by Naoki Ageo, who has already established a strong reputation as an outstanding continuo player and pianist in numerous ensembles. This album features Beethoven performed on a fortepiano with a Viennese action. Equally acclaimed violinist Yuko Araki joins him on the famous piece “Spring.” The 20 piano sonatas Beethoven composed by the time he turned 31 were written for the fortepiano, which has a range of five octaves (61 keys). This instrument, with its delicate Viennese action, greatly aided his creative process. This CD features works from the very beginning and very end of that period. You will be able to sense how dramatically Beethoven’s music changed in just seven or eight years, as well as how much potential he saw in the fortepiano. Furthermore, we have included the Violin Sonata “Spring,” a masterpiece from the very end of that five-octave period.
