NORIKIYO Releases New Album He Completed Before Going to Prison!! NORIKIYO, who was sentenced to three years in prison in 2023, recently completed his sentence and announced the release of his 13th album, “L.I.V.S.” Titled “L.I.V.S.”—an acronym for “Life Is Very Short”—this album was already completed before he was incarcerated in 2023. Although it was originally intended to be his final release while in prison, his early parole meant the album was nearly shelved. However, after receiving an overwhelming number of requests—both from fans at live shows and during online meet-and-greets—asking him to “please release it,” he decided to film a music video after his release to honor their wishes, and the album will finally be released on August 7, 2026. “Sinner’s Excuse,” a lead single from the 13-track album, was recently released digitally. This lead track, whose title means “a sinner’s ramblings,” was actually completed back in 2019—a fascinating fact considering that he was subsequently incarcerated as a sinner himself. Suffering from a nationally designated intractable disease, did he worry about his own future? What kind of content will this new album, titled “Life Is Short,” contain? That will be revealed on August 7.
