This is the first studio album in three years since "Royal Destroyer" released in 2021 by The Crown, one of the leading Swedish death/thrash metal bands, and since their formation in 1990, The Crown has become one of the leading death/thrash metal bands in Sweden along with The Horned, At The Gates, and others. The band has released 11 studio albums so far, including the highly acclaimed masterpiece "Death Race King". In 2018, the band re-signed with Metal Blade, the band that has released numerous masterpieces, for "Cobra Speed Venom", and released "Royal Destroyer" in 2021, an album that fans have been waiting for, filled with the most violent and impulsive nature ever. The album was released in 2021, and was the most outrageous and impulsive album ever. And now, this album, bearing the band's early name "Crown of Thorns," delves into the roots of the melodic death metal line with its early melodies and completes a true self-titled album in harmony with the current deathrush line. The album also features the return of lead guitarist Markus Soonesson, who supported the band in its early days, and the strongest lineup in the band's history.Mixed and mastered by Jonas Kjellgren, formerly of Scar Symmetry and a longtime fan of the band, here is Swedish Death at its finest!
