Billeri Lagrane, born in 1966, debuted in the 80's as a child prodigy, and has been a leader for a long time! In the 2000s, while keeping his roots in Manouche jazz music, he performed with Sylvain Luc in a pop and nuanced duo, and in 2014, he released works with Stanley Clarke and Jean-Luc Ponty, In 2014, he released works with Stanley Clarke and Jean-Luc Ponty. This album is a trio performance with Larry Grenadier, one of the most important bassists of our time, as well as the Brad Meldow Band, and Mino Sinel, a veteran percussionist who has worked with Miles Davis and Sting's band. The trio plays many familiar jazz standards such as "Stella by Starlight," "My One and Only Love," "Green Dolphin," and Carlos Jobim's classic "Wave," along with original numbers and a pleasant guitar sound. The guitar sound is pleasant along with the original numbers.The swingy and light rhythms that characterize the Manouche style, as well as the chord work with beautiful harmonies that continue to captivate listeners, and the brilliant solo work are unique to Birelli Lagrane! The 12 tracks are full of originality with contemporary tastes and effects, while staying true to the tradition!
