The virtuoso harpist invites the listener into the deep and mysterious world of the night. Born in Basel, Switzerland, Magdalena Hoffmann began harp lessons at the age of six, studied at the Robert Schumann University of Music in Düsseldorf, the Royal Academy of Music in London, and received her master's degree from the Munich College of Music. and won two special awards at the Munich ARD Music Competition as a solo artist in 2016. Two years later he became principal harpist of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. The album includes Britten's Suite for Harp, beautiful nocturnes by Field, Chopin, and Clara Schumann, and smaller masterpieces by Respighi, Pizzetti, and Hirsch.With the music on this album, I wanted to use my harp to tell different nighttime stories, dance all night long, and have dreamlike nights."(Magdalena Hoffman) Universal Music/IMS
