In 1987, David Bowie performed a concert near the Reichstag in West Berlin. The show was part of the "Glass Spider" tour, which was Bowie's longest tour at that point. During the Berlin show, Bowie's performance was so loud that large crowds began to gather on the east side of the wall to hear him perform a little better. Rumor has it that the speakers were turned up a bit to make it easier to hear on the east side. As the show progressed, the East Germans on the other side of the wall could be heard singing along. This 2CD recording of this very impressive show, which was performed in two distant cities at once, is available on the 2CD. Bowie's call to East Berlin before playing "Heroes" is a true example of the power of music.
