This 2026 studio album by Strawberry Alarm Clock—the legendary West Coast psychedelic/soft rock band—was produced by all five original members reuniting for the first time since 1969! The original members—Mark Steven Weitz (keyboards), Randy Saul (drums/percussion), George Bannell (bass), and Gene Gannell (drums/percussion)—who recorded four albums between 1967 and 1969, Steve Bartack (guitar, flute, sitar, producer—also well-known as a founding member of Oingo Boingo)—along with guitarist Howie Anderson, who has been a member since the band’s 1986 reunion. This is an album that exudes a sense of adventure, experimental spirit, and ambition—going far beyond mere nostalgia. This is evident in the perfectly cheerful a cappella harmonies of the opening track “Feel The Love,” the swirling organ sounds that are their trademark and can be heard throughout the album, sunshine pop flutes, electric sitar, razor-sharp acid rock guitar, and groovy percussion—all of which perfectly capture the spirit of that era.
