A collection comprising seven recordings by a Norwegian specialist and one by an Italian husband-and-wife duo ◆Austbo, a student of Messiaen who enjoyed his teacher’s complete trust, has earned worldwide acclaim for his complete recordings of the works of Messiaen and Scriabin. He was also awarded the “Grieg Prize” by the Grieg Museum in Norway in 2003 for his interpretations of works by his compatriot Grieg, such as the “Lyric Pieces” featured here. ◆Subsequently, Austbo recorded four additional CDs to complete the complete collection of major solo piano works. This set also includes piano duets favored by Grieg, performed with perfect harmony by Plano and Negro—a husband-and-wife duo, just like Grieg himself. 【Recording】 ◆CDs 1 through 7 were recorded between 2001 and 2007, while CD 8 was recorded in 2021. 【Product Specifications】 ◆The total running time of the 8 CDs is approximately 540 minutes (about 9 hours).
