The 50th anniversary edition of "Head First," a fantastic album recorded in 1974 but never released, is also being released on CD in Japan! Domestic CD with obi and commentary The original masters, thought to have been lost, have been found! In 1974, Badfinger moved to Warner and released "BADFINGER" and "WISH YOU WERE HERE" in succession, and "HEAD FIRST" was produced at the end of that year, but was not released by Warner. The subsequent death of Pete Ham made this album the last original Badfinger recording. Recorded at Apple Studios in 1974, the sessions for this album took place during a tumultuous period of personal and external hardship for the band, and the album was ultimately shelved. For years, only rough mixes remained and the master tapes were thought to be lost, but recently the original multitracks have been rediscovered and a careful mixing and mastering process has breathed new life into this long-dormant masterpiece.Although recorded during a difficult period, the remaining sound is lined with songs that demonstrate the band's raw energy and emotional songwriting, and will appeal to longtime fans as well as new listeners.
