Deutsche Grammophon, the world's oldest classical label, was founded in 1898 by Emil Berliner, a German-born American who invented and patented the disc phonograph (the prototype of today's records). This year, celebrating its 120th anniversary, DG, which has been holding commemorative concerts all over the world, is urgently releasing a concert that was held in Japan! The artists performing will be conductor Seiji Ozawa, who has left many masterpieces for DG since the 1970s, Anne-Sophie Mutter, who has been active as a violinist representing not only the label but also the classical world since making her debut at the age of 14, and the orchestra, which will be led by The orchestra is the Saito Kinen Orchestra, which was formed in 1984 at the suggestion of Seiji Ozawa, a pupil of the late Prof. Hideo Saito, one of the founders of Toho Gakuen School of Music in Japan and a great educator, ten years after his death.
