France's up-and-coming woodwind quintet ensemble Urranos, debut disc!The Ensemble Urranos was founded in 2014 by clarinetist Amory Vidouvier. Formed by graduates of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, the ensemble won first prize and the Audience Prize at the 2017 Lyon International Chamber Music Competition. Not only are they dedicated to exploring the wind quintet repertoire, but they have also performed with Angelisch, Chamayou, Renaud Capuçon, and others, wowing listeners with their wide repertoire. This is their first CD, an interesting program that includes Ligeti's important repertoire for woodwind quintet, Nielsen's masterpiece, and an arrangement of Dvořák's "America" for woodwind quintet.
