His newest release in the popular series "La Musica de España", which seeks to discover the music of his native Spain, is a collection of orchestral works by Isaac Albéniz (1860-1909), a leading composer of the late Romantic period in Spain. The highlights are the "Spanish Suite" arranged for orchestra by Spanish conductor Rafael Flübeck de Burgos, who also served as permanent conductor of the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, the "Piano Concerto No. 1," also known as the "Fantastic Concerto," and the "Spanish Rhapsody" orchestrated by Georges Enesco.
