Born in Lucerne in 1987, tenor Mauro Peter makes his debut album for Sony Classical. In 2012, Peter sang the role of the "Watermill Girl" in "Schubertiade" to great acclaim, and his acclaimed performance of "Parsifal" at the Salzburg Easter Festival in 2013, conducted by Thielemann, and "Tamino" in "The Magic Flute" at the Opera National de Lyon. In 2014, she appeared in Cosi fan tutte and Don Giovanni at Theater an der Wien, conducted by Arnoncourt, He has been highly acclaimed abroad, and has even been called the second coming of Wunderlich. This new recording for Sony Classical features a selection of his best-known Schubert songs, including a masterpiece on a Goethe poem.All are masterpieces that combine poetry and music at a high level. Peter reads the poems perfectly and expresses joy and sorrow beautifully. He is sure to be a tenor who will lead the Lieder world in the future. Sony Music
