Porches, the recording project of New York's Aaron Maine, has released its sixth studio album, "Shirt," on the Domino label! Shirt" is a troubled fantasy and a confessional melodrama. It is a rock album that oscillates between reality and fantasy, representing both the innocence of suburban youth and the weary reality of adulthood. Grunge guitars with a menacing sheen, and drums and bass that pack a hot punch to the gut, are interspersed with moments of eerie stillness, creating a physical sense of tension and release in each track. The previously released "Rag" was called "unsettling and groovy, seductive and boisterous" with a development reminiscent of Nirvana, and "a rambunctious '90s alternative rock sound, in the vein of the Pixies' mastery of 'quiet and loud'".Exciting rock songs and emotional ballads collide to drive the listener into a frenzy!
