Animal Collective will release a deluxe vinyl edition of their classic album "Merriweather Post Pavilion" on Domino to commemorate its 15th anniversary. The album will be pressed on color vinyl for the first time and will be available as a double LP in translucent green and blue-ish. Merriweather Post Pavilion" received worldwide acclaim upon its release in 2009, and was named the #1 best album of the year by Pitchfork, Entertainment Weekly, Spin, and KEXP. NPR said at the time, "Musicians sometimes sweep away existing musical landscapes to create something new. Animal Collective is such a group, and 'Merriweather Post Pavilion' is such an album." He also commented.Since its release, the album has been recognized as one of the most influential records of the 2000s.
