The American/Scottish rock band Garbage was formed in New York City by Butch Vig, the talented producer of Nirvana's Nevermind, Smashing Pumpkins' Siamese Dream, and many other rock milestones. The band has been nominated for three Grammy Awards and has played shows in more than 35 countries, and continues to attract fans around the world. This album is the 20th anniversary edition of their second album "Version 2.0," which sold over 4 million copies worldwide. The album has been completely remastered and includes a bonus disc with a total of 10 B-side songs and unreleased tracks! The direction of the first "G," which had a strong grunge tinge with noise guitars and dark lyrics, has evolved greatly, and the band has completed a more diverse and more detailed accumulation of sounds. As a result, this album sold more than 4 million copies worldwide, surpassing the sales of "G" even more. Like its predecessor, the album toured internationally, performing at the Fuji Rock Festival in August 1998, where it captivated Japanese fans. When creating the album, the band decided to create a "Beach Boys x Pretenders" sound with the idea of combining "nostalgic, old-fashioned songs" with "current sounds".Their goal was to create a more organic band sound while retaining their original electronica elements. During the songwriting period, they were influenced by listening to their old favorite artists, The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, and Radiohead and Portishead, who were at the height of their popularity at the time.The first EP [La Liberta] by Libelante, a group that advocates a new era of crossover music, "La Liberta," which means "freedom" in Italian, is also the origin of Libelante's name, which means "free to let each other shine. The chapters of their first EP, "La Liberta," open the curtain on Libelante's story of freedom and hope through more liberal genre experimentation. In "La Liberta," the energetic sound and the vocals, which are organically connected without being formulaic, harmonize with each other to maximize their individuality, just like the belief that they are "singing across genres freely. Working with world-class producers active in the global pop scene, the album was completed with Libelante's tailor-made songs with various interpretations until they were born with voices that firmly support the four members.
