Description:

Contemporary music with ancient instruments! A collection of songs by Sergey Afunov! The second Glossa by Russia's prodigy Dmitry Shinkovsky! Both conductor and singer will perform Sergei Afunov's music! Contemporary music for voice and instrumental music presented by a baroque instrumental ensemble! Dmitriy Shinkovsky, a gifted Russian artist who has become one of the most exciting artists of the younger generation with his versatile talents as a virtuoso violinist, conductor, and countertenor singer. His first appearance on Glossa, "Beethoven's Violin Concertos" (PGCD924401), attracted attention with its unusual cadenza and the "Triple Concerto" with Alexei Lyubimov, and was selected as a "Special Recording Artists" disc. Sergey Afunov (1967-), born in Kiev in 1967, graduated from the Kiev State Conservatory of Music and began his career as an oboe player before turning to other genres such as electronic music and rock 'n' roll. After graduating from the Kiev State Conservatory of Music, he became an oboe player and then switched to other genres such as electronic music and rock and roll.In 2005, he parted from these genres of music and began to devote himself again to classical orchestral and chamber music. Sergei Afunov was invited by Shinkovsky to write works for voice and instrumental music for his baroque instrumental ensemble, La Voce Strumentale, which resulted in Poems in English and Songs in Russian. The ambitious and fascinating concept of "Contemporary music on baroque instruments" was born from Shinkovsky's idea. In addition to Dmitry Shinkovsky himself, Russian soprano Yulia Rezhneva has been specially invited to sing in the program. Tokyo M-Plus
