Born in Italy and active as a court musician in Spain, Boccherini is also known as the "King of Chamber Music," having composed numerous chamber works for cello, over 90 string quartets, and over 100 string quintets with one cello added to the string quartet. This album contains four works, including a small string quintet subtitled "Fandango" because of the use of a three-beat dance peculiar to Spain in the second movement, and other works in which Boccherini reflected many Spanish impressions in his music.Enjoy the world of Boccherini, who established himself as the leading composer of string quintets in the history of music, with the virtuosity of the masters of the Spanish ancient music world.
