Patrick Doule's own collection Belgian pianist and composer Patrick Doule studied at the Conservatory of Liège with such masters as Leon Fleischer and Padula Skoda, won the first prize at the International Karol Szymanowski Competition, and has given recitals as a pianist throughout the world. He is also active as a composer, and his style is very romantic, influenced by Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, Szymanowski, and Scriabin. Although the works in this collection are unmistakably from the 21st century, they are all written in the style of the late Romanticism of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
