Ivan Muller (1786-1854), the inventor of the Muller-style clarinet, is best known as the originator of the modern clarinet, the "13-key clarinet" (published in 1812). The invention of this key was truly a groundbreaking invention, freeing the clarinet from the complicated cross fingerings that had previously existed, and from then on, new works were created. A further improvement of this key is the modern "Ehler key. Muller left various works for instruments equipped with this new key. Please enjoy these Italian-style bel canto pieces, which make the most of the technique and tone of the clarinet, which did not exist until then. Universal Music/IMS
