The third collection of BCJ's secular cantatas is a blissful collection of cantatas including "Shirisuke, Monosyllables" BWV202, commonly known as the "Marriage Cantata". The third collection of secular cantatas includes "Shirisuke" BWV 202, also known as the "Marriage Cantata." The cast of soloists includes Joanne Lang, who has a clear and beautiful voice, and Roderick Williams, a talented baritone singer. BWV 173a, "His Imperial Highness, Prince Leopold," was written for the birthday celebration of Leopold, Margrave of Keten. It is said that this is the first Bach cantata in which the horizontal flute is used. Shirit, lamentable shadows, BWV 202, is a wedding cantata for solo soprano voice. Hats off to Joanne Lan's clear voice and BCJ's performance that envelops it.The first draft of the BWV36-related work, "Flap Your Wings and Rise," BWV36c, is believed to have been written in Leipzig in 1725 to celebrate the birthday of an elderly university professor. The final piece, "Quodlibet," BWV 524, is an improvisational harmony created by singing several secular songs simultaneously, and is speculated to have been sung during someone's wedding celebration. It is a beautiful song with a beautiful interplay between each voice part, although there are some theories that it is a fake work. King International
