RAH BAND is the ele-pop project of RICHARD ANTHONY HEWSON (R.A.H.), a British pop craftsman who has been arranging for the Beatles and many other major artists since the late 60's. In recent years, the project has been highly acclaimed in terms of NW/disco/rare groove/free soul/Shibuya-style /The legendary unit RAH BAND has been highly acclaimed from an electronic music perspective as well. This is the masterpiece 3rd album, which led them to the discotheque of the universe. The album features a dubwise, light and heavy drum machine, a funky and thick bass line, effective analog synths, keyboards, cosmic effects, and plenty of vocoders.He has been playing most of the instruments himself, including the electro-boogie cosmic disco masterpiece "MESSAGES FROM THE STARS" with spaced-out synths, which was also a hit as a 12" single, and the club classic "PERFUMED GARDEN", which is even a pure and clean song. The album is one of the best representative of the 80's, with a unique sound world with a spacey bossa touch created with his wife LIZ's sweet vocals and a brass section, and sublimated into an electro-pop club classic after receiving a message from the sparkling stars after leaving the perfume garden.
