Violin sonatas by Brahms and Franck by Chinese violinist Chien-Ying and Taiwan-born pianist Po-Chiang Chang. Chien-Ying studied at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the Royal Academy of Music in England, and has performed solo and chamber music worldwide. Po-Chiang Chang studied in Taiwan, then at the Boston Conservatory of Music, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and is currently an accompanist at Western Illinois University. Ying's violin is understated and unobtrusive, but it is full of a soft, moist beauty that is perfect for the word "graceful. Chang's piano performance envelops the violin, and the audience can enjoy the gentle taste of both Brahms and Franck. Tobu Shoji Co.
