The Delfin Trio is a trio of three passionate young musicians from opposite sides of the globe: a clarinetist from Australia, a cellist from the Netherlands, and a pianist from South Africa. Founded in 2020 at the Royal College of Music in London, they demonstrate their individual instrumental talents, intelligent and curious music-making, and passion for diverse repertoire. Their debut album, "Adrift," about flowing water, features American chants by Kenneth Layton, a Brahmsian and melancholic serenade by Robert Kahn, a rather jazzy trio by Robert Delanoff, and a collection of folk music by Marsh Shabelle and The program is extremely ambitious, combining folk-influenced works by John Sassas with Piazzolla's masterpiece Oblivion (Oblivion).
