Furthermore, the live recording *Fountains of Youth (Live at the Town and Country Club)*, previously available only as part of a box set, is also receiving its long-awaited debut release! *Liberty Belle and the Black Diamond Express* (1986) The Go-Betweens’ fourth album was widely acclaimed upon its release as “one of the finest albums of the past decade.” The British magazine *Uncut* wrote, “It’s a fourth album where everything comes together perfectly.” Even before entering the studio, the band had a firm resolve to create the album they had envisioned. Frontman Robert Forster later remarked, “If this were our last chance, we had no choice but to do it our way. No drum machines, no patchwork recording, and no compromises to orders from above. Our aim was to build on the crisp, woody sound of *Before Hollywood* and incorporate a more grandiose and exotic array of instruments.”
