The Comet Is Coming's fourth album, led by Shabaka Hutchings, is now available. The Comet is Coming is a cosmic jazz trio consisting of Danalog (Dan Levers) on synthesizer, Shabaka (Shabaka Hutchings) on saxophone, and Beta Max (Max Hallett) on drums.Based in London and nominated for a Mercury Prize, they have been rocking the dance floor with their unique synthesizer, saxophone, and drums composition, crossing genres such as punk rock, jazz, and trance. This album was recorded at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios in England.Working with the band's longtime engineer, Christian Craig Robinson, the trio spent four days recording the album. Danalog and Betamax then carefully sampled the recordings, resulting in the current work, which has a profound and coherent musical message.
