Joanna Domanska is a specialist known as one of the leading performers of Szymanowski in Poland today, serving as Artistic Director of the "Karol Szymanowski Music Days" International Music Festival. The second volume of her ongoing collection of Szymanowski's piano works on the Dux label includes four works from her youth, composed between 1899 and 1905, before and after she entered the Warsaw Conservatory.
