Adam Wesowowski (1980-), who studied composition with Edvard Bogusławski and Alexander Lasoni and piano with Wojciech Sivitawa at the Karol Szymanowski Conservatory in Katowice, Poland, is a promising composer with great promise, World-renowned euphonium player Stephen Mead will appear on this album! Commissioned by Stephen Mead, "Euphory Concerto" is a new work just completed in June 2019. Written in cantilena form to maximize the soft sound of the euphonium, this concerto is a remarkable work that opens with the first movement, which is composed of three different character movements. The "Encore Concerto" for flute is unique in that it is dependent on the soloist's technical and expressive abilities; although it is in five movements, the order of performance is not strictly determined, leaving the decision to the soloist. It was composed to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the city of Hodzów in the Polish province of Szilonsk.The participation of the great Stephen Mead, as well as the ability of the darling of the Polish composition world to use both traditional and digital compositional techniques, is a must-see.
