Formed in 1978 in Brussels, Belgium, Terex has a policy of "making pop but with a solid sound, no guitars" and not wanting to match their face or hairstyle to the music, "basically being in the studio and wearing a mask when outside. The classic "Moskow Diskow," released in 1978, was a milestone in electronic music at the dawn of techno. This ahead-of-its-time track has gained recognition over time, and while other electro-pop songs of the same era have fallen into disuse, Telex's reputation continues to grow. This album, "Dis is Telex" (Best of the Best), includes such signature tracks as "Moskow Disco" and "Eurovision," as well as covers of Sly & the Family Stone and Sparks, and previously unreleased tracks such as The Beatles' "Dear Prudence" and Sonny & Cher's " Two additional previously unreleased cover songs, "Dear Prudence" by The Beatles and "The Beat Goes On" by Sonny & Cher, are also included.The album has been newly mixed and remastered by Telex himself from the master tapes, which is also one of the highlights of the album. We're making something simpler, better, and more Telex-like. It's like starting to make new music. It's miraculous. Now, after such a sad experience, they have signed a contract with 《MUTE》, a very Telex-like label, and this album "Dis is Telex" is released as the first in a series of reissues.
