A complete anthology of Fat Mattress, the band in which Jimi Hendrix Experience bassist Noel Redding picked up the guitar and took on vocals! In addition to the first album from 1969 and the second album from 1970, the collection also includes the unreleased material from the 3rd album, singles not included on the album, outtakes, radio and TV sessions, and the first US-only alternative mix of the first album. The band features former Flower Pot Men singer Neil Landon, former Engelbert Humperdinck touring member Jim Leverton, and Eric Dickinson, who writes very pop and beatlish melodies, as evidenced by the trend of Redding's songs from the Experience era. The first album charted in the US. The first album charted in the U.S., but Redding left the band in the middle of a rocky U.S. tour. He later returned to the lineup with the intention of making an album, but the remaining band released the second album without him.Due to a disagreement with manager Chas Chandler, the third album was never released, and the band disbanded. This is a definitive album that allows you to listen to all of the recordings of these talented musicians, who left behind excellent works regardless of their former status as Jimi Hendrix~.
