Porcupine Tree is synonymous with the contemporary British progressive rock scene.The 2004 remastered version of "Light Bulb Sun" originally released on Snapper Music's Kscope label in 2000 has been newly reissued on the newly established Transmission label by the same record company, in a Japan-only double E style paper jacket (Japanese obi). The new edition is available only in Japan in a double E style paper jacket with Japanese obi and commentary. Light Bulb Sun", the sixth studio album since the debut album, features Richard Barbieri (kbds), Colin Edwin (b), Chris Maitland (ds, perc) as well as Steven Wilson as on the previous album. The group also features rock violinist Stuart Gordon, who has played with a truly diverse and numerous artists ranging from XTC to Joe Strummer, and classical cellist and multi-instrumentalist Nick Parry.
